Curious about a career in screen, film or acting?
Step into the spotlight with a focused three-day intensive for actors ready to elevate skills on stage, screen and digital media. Through expert-led workshops and a professionally filmed screen test, taught across our two campuses in Berlin, participants will sharpen their performance techniques and walk away with valuable footage and feedback.
This workshop also offers filmmakers and directors a unique, hands-on insight into the actor’s craft, deepening their understanding of performance, enhancing communication on set, and fostering creative collaboration. It’s a dynamic space to sharpen directing instincts, experiment with storytelling, and connect with emerging talent in a shared artistic process.
Day 1: Physical Presence & Improvisation (6 hours total)
- Movement Workshop (3 hrs): Unlock the power of body language and physical presence to command attention on stage and screen.
- Improvisation Workshop (3 hrs): Build spontaneity, awareness, and connection through the essentials of improv — covering the key do’s and don’ts every actor should know.

Day 2: Scene Study for Screen (6 hours)
- Work closely with a seasoned screen actor to prepare and rehearse duologues. This intensive session focuses on script analysis, emotional truth, and camera-ready delivery.
- Date: 11th July, 2025

Day 3: On-Camera Shoot & Reflection (6 hours total)
- Reflection & Q&A (2 hrs): Wrap up with a guided group discussion and open Q&A to reflect on the process, gain industry insight, and discuss next steps in your acting journey.
- Screen-Test Shoot (4 hrs): Perform your scene in a professionally lit and shot session with a Director of Photography. You’ll receive your edited footage post-workshop. Perfect for emerging and early-career actors seeking practical screen experience and dynamic coaching in a creative, supportive environment.
- This day will coincide with a MetFilm School Berlin Open Day, and include a group workshop with Open Day guests.

Important info
- The House of Music and Molecule Studios can be accessed using local public transport and have step-free access. University staff will be onsite to greet you and direct you where to go, and teaching sessions will be led by Acting lecturers at MetFilm School Berlin.
- Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Lunch breaks are incorporated to the schedule, and both campuses have cafes and supermarkets in close proximity.
