Visa Information
Visa Information
Studying in the United Kingdom
For those coming from outside of the UK, on courses for up to six months, some students will be required to apply for the Standard Visitor Visa. To find out if you will need to apply for this, please visit this page. Students can apply for this only three months prior to a course starting.
Decisions on the Standard Visitor Visa will be granted within three weeks of application and costs £95.
After you have paid the full course fee, MetFilm School will issue an acceptance letter that will detail the relevant information about the course. You can then use this for your application.
You will need to prove that you have enough money to cover all reasonable costs of your visit without working or accessing public funds, including the cost of the return or onward journey. You will be able to use someone else’s money to prove this if you have a personal or professional relationship with them, and they will provide support to you for the duration of your visit.
All course fees must be paid prior to an application for a Standard Visitor Visa.
Studying in Berlin
- Courses are available to EEA and Swiss Nationals who do not need a visa to enter Germany. EEA nationals are those that hold a passport from an EU country, including those from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
- Also available to nationals of certain countries – passports from the countries marked ‘no’ on this list – may also enrol on three month short courses. However, they may not stay on German/Schengen territory for more than 90 days in any six month period, nor may they take up gainful employment whilst there.
- Students from ALL other countries must apply for a tourist/Schengen visa in order to enter Germany. Passport holders from the countries on this list require a visa for short stays.
