Brighton Facilities

Just a stone’s throw from the Brighton Pier, our Old Steine site boasts 4 floors of teaching space; including a film set, Mac suite, screening room, and, of course, a relaxing student common room.

Home to our weekly masterclasses, and located next to the famous Brighton Lanes, this building is filled with state-of-the-art equipment and industry-standard software for our students.

Our Brighton Central site at Old Steine is also home to our Creative Technology courses, with an impressive suite of high-spec gaming PCs and a comprehensive console gaming facility with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S & X, Nintendo Switch, and a range of legacy systems. Students learn with key games engines like Unity and Unreal, and tackle a wide range of programmes and software.

Lighting training across courses is synced with trends in the industry focused on modular systems and sustainability. Aputure and Aputure Amaran LED lighting systems are supported by an array of industry-standard tungsten fixtures such as Dedos, Arri 650s, Arri 1K, Arri 2K and Kinos.

Stage 5 at our London campus is also rigged with SUMOSPACE lights, who hold substantial credibility within the film and television industry.

Situated a short walk from Brighton station, Production House offers (yet another) film set, Avid and editing suite, relaxing student space, and another top-of-the-range Mac suite.

Production House is also home to our Student Services team, so there’s always a friendly face happy to help.

Brighton’s newest building boasts 11,000 sq. ft. of space.

Situated just over two miles north east from Brighton’s city centre, Brighton Film Studios is one of the only film lots of its kind on the south coast.

Brighton Film Studios includes:

• Two large-scale flexible film sets
• Two storeys of tech storage for lighting, camera and sound equipment
• Mac editing suite with the latest Avid and Adobe editing software
• Green Room with hair, make-up and costume facilities
• Production Meeting Room and Student Lounge

Brighton Film Studios is also home to an extensive and well-equipped Creative Art Department covering nearly 8,000 sq. ft., with dedicated creative and design resources including:

• Hair and Make-up studio
• Production Design studio
• Creative technical space for students
• Design Hub with specialist software
• CAD Studio
• Photographic stage for test shoots
• Shower facilities for models
