Neil West is a film writer/director that works in feature films, television, short films and commercials.
Neil’s 2008 short film – Undertow- caught the attention of Guardian chief film critic Peter Bradshaw, who isolated it out for praise during the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. This was followed up with Neil’s debut feature film; which received positive reviews in well known publications including Sight and Sound Magazine, Empire Magazine, Total Film Magazine, The Metro, The Guardian Newspaper, The Radio Times, and Starburst Magazine.
Neil’s work has been screened theatrically throughout the UK and played at festivals around the world. His work has garnered awards for directing, writing, acting, sound design and cinematography. CONTAINMENT is currently available to watch on NETFLIX UK and buy globally on streaming services and DVD.
Neil is currently in development on a number of projects including a feature film with Oscar winning Producer – Julie Foy and writer David Lemon.
