Jonny Persey, MetFilm School Director appeared on London Live this week speaking about the School’s 2019 Voices That Matter Scholarship – Women in the Screen Industries, a female scholarship supported by MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
2019 Voices That Matter Scholarship – Women in the Screen Industries is a scholarship designed to support the next generation of female filmmakers, recognising the importance of accessibility and equality within the screen industry.
A recent skills audit of the UK Film Industry by the Work Foundation for the BFI found that the industry is severely lacking in female talent.
Jonny was joined on the London Live sofa by MetFilm School London MA Directing graduate Juliana Matsubara. Juliana is currently back working at the School as Teaching Assistant on the BA Content Media & Film Production and on the 1-week, 8-week and weekend short courses. She is also a Tutor on the BA Practical Filmmaking and on the MA Courses Moving Camera Exercise.
