James earned his early broadcast editing credits on the iconic children’s show Teletubbies. He went on to edit, direct, and edit-produce over 40 hours of prime-time factual and documentary television. His high-profile TV credits include cutting and revamping BBC Three’s flagship behind-the-scenes series Doctor Who Confidential, directing series such as Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited for BBC Worldwide, and helming documentary and drama reconstruction sequences for the BAFTA-winning Murder, Mystery and My Family and Channel 5’s Heists.

James brings his decades of industry experience to MetFilm School Manchester, where he serves as the Module Lead for Technical Practice and Post-Production.
