Cassiah Joski-Jethi

From a young age, Cassiah knew that she would be a writer and director. She began her career working for Gurinder Chadha OBE after a chance meeting on a train. Soon after, Cassiah’s debut and award-nominated play Under My Thumb toured across the UK, ending in a five-star reviewed run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe, and her play London With A Perfect Skyline previewed in London in 2019.
Her screen work has been awarded in the West Field Screenwriting Awards (finalist); BBC Script Room Drama (longlist); and Moondance International Film Festival (winner). She has directed five short films which have screened across the UK as well as internationally. Cassiah also works extensively as a screenwriter, and has had a number of film/TV projects in varying stages of development. She is also a member of the BFI Network X BAFTA Crew and was selected for the BFI Network Weekender. She was also a BBC New Creative 2020, with her debut radio drama broadcast in 2021.
