Diva Rodriguez

Lecturer, MetFilm School Manchester

Diva Rodriguez is an award-winning producer who has worked across film, television and digital media for international brands including Warner Bros. Discovery, Film4, BBC, Paramount, Amazon Prime and ITV.

She produced BBC’s Waterloo Road and Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, and was Associate Producer on the BFI, Film4 and Screen Yorkshire-backed feature Sky Peals, which premiered in Critics’ Week at the Venice International Film Festival. Her film credits also include the acclaimed shorts Bury The Dogs (executive produced by Shane Meadows), The Witch’s Daughter (starring Burn Gorman and Jo Hartley), Little Pains (winner of the Kodansha x Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia Cinema Creators’ Lab), the award winning documentary How Fast Can You Eat A Pickled Egg?, and Surprise, Baby!, which she executive produced for Rope Ladder Fiction.

Diva is an alumna of mentoring programmes run by Channel 4 and Women in Film & Television, as well as Film4’s prestigious Associate Producer Programme. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Script Development from the National Film and Television School and is currently developing and producing a slate of film and television projects, including the short film Palm, which she has written and will direct.
