David Thompson
Interim Head of School
Dr David Thompson is a filmmaker and researcher, with over two decade’s worth of teaching and leadership experience both academically and commercially. Previously running an art house cinema, writing and directing his own lo/no budget feature films, producing on numerous shorts and making films in many roles across different platforms. Working for companies including Universal Pictures, ABC, BBC, ITV, C4, Film4, and EMI amongst others.
As an educator, he has worked and published extensively in teaching and curriculum development, whilst building staff teams and establishing industry links. He is passionate about storytelling, screen drama and the student learning process.
