Andrea Slater
MA Screen & Film Production Course Leader, MetFilm School Brighton
Before working at MetFilm School, Andrea worked in film production for over 15 years, working as an assistant director on successful British films such as The Beach, Enigma, Anita and Me and Topsy Turvey supporting some of the best directors in the UK such as Danny Boyle, Mike Leigh and Michael Apted.
She was also assistant to Trainspotting producer Andrew Macdonald for two years, seeing first-hand how to navigate the industry from script to screen. Andrea is passionate about enabling all students to enter the industry at the highest level and draws on her experience to guide students through the development and realisation of their own projects as well as provide relevance for academic exploration of the industry.
