Intro to Screenwriting

Students explore why stories are important and how they connect to the human experience by looking at the origin of storytelling, including the influence of myths, fairy tales and literature on modern-day screen stories

Students will explore the basic principles of storytelling for the screen, analysing what makes ideas compelling, characters memorable and stories meaningful.

Students will examine screenwriting conventions and understand how to format your script in a clear and professional manner

Minimum Age: 18 at the start of the course.

This course is open enrolment and there are no entry requirements.

In order to get the most out of the course, you should be able to both speak and write in English to a reasonable standard.

Please be aware that we have a limited number of places available for each course intake and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
