We’re excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of our MA Producing graduates, several of whom have contributed to some of the most acclaimed films of recent years, earning recognition at the highest level: the BAFTAs.
BAFTA is an independent arts charity and academy that brings together creatives working in the film, games and TV industries. Their mission is to make the screen industries more accessible, inclusive and sustainable.
Student success at the BAFTAs:
Lauren Dark – In 2019, Lauren won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for the feature Beast, which she produced shortly after graduating from MetFilm School. The award was a major milestone for Lauren, who’s gone on to produce The Father, Passing, and Enys Man.
Aileen Flanagan – Aileen was part of the production team at The Bureau behind After Love, which won Best British Film at the 2022 BAFTAs. Her role in post-production and delivery was key to the film’s success, demonstrating how essential producing roles are in bringing powerful stories to screen.
Guy Trevellyan – Guy has racked up credits on multiple BAFTA-nominated productions. His work as Production Assistant on Killers of the Flower Moon and as Additional 3rd Assistant Director on Barbie highlights the broad range of roles our producing graduates can pursue. Guy’s career is a perfect example of how our alumni are making their mark across the screen industries.
