A UCAS Application Guide for 2026 Entrants
Thinking about studying with us in 2026? If MetFilm School is on your radar, it’s time to mark one date in bold on your calendar:
Wednesday 14 January 2026 – UCAS Equal Consideration Deadline
Submitting your UCAS application before this deadline ensures that your application is considered fairly alongside all other applicants. It’s the biggest milestone in the admissions timeline – and meeting it can set you up for a smoother, more exciting start to your time at MetFilm School.
Why applying before the January deadline matters
Meeting the equal consideration deadline (ECD) means all UCAS applications submitted before this date are treated equally. After the ECD, courses may close if they are fully subscribed.
Here’s what you gain by applying before 14 January:
✔ Guaranteed equal consideration for your chosen course (subject to entry criteria)
✔ More interview slots to choose from
✔ Faster application turnaround
✔ Secure your place for September 2026 ahead of the crowd
✔ More time to organise finances, accommodation, and logistics
✔ Exclusive access to offer-holder content, events, webinars, and insights into life at MetFilm
Whether your passion lies in directing, producing, writing, acting, or working behind the scenes in hair, makeup, or technical roles, this is your moment to take the first step. Submit your application before 6pm on 14 January to give yourself the best start.
Missed the deadline? You still have options
Life happens – and if the deadline passes, don’t panic. You can still apply to us through UCAS Extra or Clearing.
UCAS Extra (26 February – 4 July 2026)
UCAS Extra gives you a second chance to secure a place:
-
Available if you’ve used your five choices and have no offers, or if you’ve declined offers you received
-
Add one new choice at a time through UCAS Extra
-
Note: Once you switch to UCAS Extra, you cannot return to your original five choices – so choose wisely
Clearing (from 2 July 2026 onward)
If you don’t hold any offers after 2 July, you can apply through Clearing and add an additional choice. Clearing can be a great route into your preferred course – especially if you’re ready to act fast when places become available.
Your story starts now
Studying at MetFilm School is about being bold, creative, and prepared to make your mark. Submitting your UCAS application is the first step in that journey.
Whether you dream of directing, producing, writing, acting, or working behind the scenes in craft and technical roles, MetFilm School is where creative careers begin.
Submit your application by 14 January 2026, and take the first step toward bringing your ideas to life on screen.
