Mickey Lai saw huge success with her MetFilm School Graduation Film, The Cloud is Still There, which won ‘Best Performance’ at South East Asia’s SeaShorts Film Festival, as well as premiering at Korea’s prestigious Busan International Film Festival.

In 2022, she released the short film A Worm, Whatever Will Be, Will Be, which was nominated for the Silver Screen Award at the Singapore International Film Festival.
