Welcome to Riverside Studios: 13,000 sq. ft. of high-spec facilities, inspiration, and boundless creativity.

Situated on the doorstep of one of the city’s most vibrant destinations, the building is a stone’s throw from industry hotspots such as Manchester Studios, Cloud Imperium Games, ABC, and The Factory.

The building was previously home to the headquarters of The Farm Group, one of the world’s leading providers of post-production services. The Farm Group has worked on a range of well-known projects that includes It’s A Sin, Gentleman Jack, Last Tango in Halifax, All Creatures Great and Small, and Naked Attraction.

As well as the numerous production and post-production suites, there are several open spaces at Riverside Studios. This includes the learning resource area with a circular glazed library overlooking the river, student lounges, and several dedicated rooms for production meetings.

Within easy reach of iconic venues, museums, and production facilities, Riverside Studios immerses students in the creative and digital industries from day one.

Riverside Studios houses two incredible production studios.

• Studio 1 is a 1500 sq. ft. bespoke drama film set. Here, students will familiarise themselves with set etiquette, chains of command, multi-camera film directing, and all aspects of what it’s really like to work on set in the industry.
• Studio 2 includes a green screen infinity cove for music promos and live TV filming. Attached facilities include the gallery, green room, make-up space, and guest waiting area.

Riverside Studios houses full-spec edit suites equipped with industry-standard software such as Avid, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and Final Cut X.

There are two Mac suites, a screening room, and an abundance of professional-grade camera kit.
