Paloma Lommel – Met Film School Reviews

Since graduating, Paloma’s MA graduation film The Schoolboy has won 21 awards – including the Stella Adler Award for Excellence in Film and the Jury Award at the USA Film Festival – and has screened at 30 film festivals in total.

Paloma acted as Director for her MA Industry Project, working with a team consisting of a producer, cinematographer, screenwriter plus postproduction editor to create a 25th Anniversary video for the charity Stonewall, featuring Sir Ian McKellen.

During her BA study, Paloma also produced the film Little Hurricane, which was successful in becoming an official selection at the prestigious Aesthetica Short Film Festival, and has screened at four festivals in total.

She says: “I feel very privileged that Met Film School gave me the opportunity to direct Stonewall’s 25th anniversary video. It was definitely a great opportunity for my future career and it was very exciting to direct Sir Ian McKellen, co-founder of Stonewall. I hope the film encourages more people to support organisations such as stonewall.”
