Jamie Nuttgens is MA Screenwriting Course Leader at Met Film School with over 25 years experience as a Writer, Director and Producer for the Screen. Jamie’s early career consisted of working as a Director in UK theatres including Sheffield Crucible Theatre, as an award-winning writer-producer in advertising for commercial radio before attending the National Film and Television School as a screenwriter.
He then joined BBC Drama as a Script Editor for ‘Casualty’ and Jimmy McGovern’s critically acclaimed series ‘The Lakes’. In addition to producing over 60 hours of The Bill, and directing Sky TV’s “Is Harry on the Boat?”, Jamie co-produced the critically acclaimed Red Riding trilogy based on the David Peace novels, written by Tony Grisoni. He also produced and edited Smita Bhide’s debut feature ‘The Blue Tower’ winning Best UK Feature at the 2008 Raindance Film Festival.
Jamie is currently developing a range of projects at all budget levels and is also a tutor in Screenwriting on the Creative Writing Masters at Oxford University.
