Please note: There is no visitor parking available at Ealing Studios. Where possible, we advise attending via public transport or looking for appropriate public parking in advance. However, with a prior advanced warning, we can sometimes make exceptions for large groups.
Our Screen Acting Discovery Day runs from 10-5pm and is an intensive and interactive introduction into acting for the screen.
You will be put into a group at various times of the day and will learn the following:
- Warm up exercises
- Character development
- Understanding acting techniques
- Differences in acting for camera
- Script analysis
- Blocking
You will learn how to build a character, identifying the importance of physical expressions, gestures, vocal tone and character feelings.
The day will culminate in a filmed exercise which will then be watched back as a group.
You will come away with a good understanding of how MetFilm School approaches the craft of screen acting.
