MetFilm School Alumni Create New Web-Series ‘Live with It’
‘Live with It’ is the new comedy web-series from MetFilm School alumni Briony Puddepha (MA Screenwriting), Juliana Matsubara (MA Directing), Jamie Mills (MA Producing) and Paula Galan (MA Post Production).
Shot entirely at a single location, using only smartphones, the series tells the story of Adrian and Tilly, a cohabiting couple who break up and desperately want to move on. The only problem is neither of them wants to move out.
“We shot everything with a mobile, but we wanted to tell the story. That was the most important thing. The characters, the backstory, making sense of every shot. That came from my MA Directing.” – Juliana Matsubara.
The team screened the first two episodes of ‘Live with It’ at an event hosted at MetFilm School on Thursday 21 March. The screening was followed by a drinks reception and Q&A.
“The show isn’t 100% any of our styles. It’s a mix and that’s a really cool thing about MetFilm School. We’re all at the same level, there’s a trust.” – Paula Galan
The series features eight episodes, each 6-10 minutes long. Episodes are released weekly exclusively on YouTube, on Thursdays at 6 pm. Here you can find the Live with It series, and watch the first episode below.
“There’s nothing worse than a brilliant idea that’s only in your head.” – Juliana Matsubara
