It’s already been a great year for our graduates!  This week we have Rob Ayling (a recent alumni of the MA Directing course) screening his graduation short film ‘Listen to Me’ at the BAFTA-recognised London Short Film Festival, the premiere UK showcase for cutting-edge UK independent film.

At the announcement of this news, Director Rob states that he is “delighted to be part of such a prestigious film festival. I feel honoured to be sharing this platform with such other quality filmmakers and I look forward to enjoying the whole experience.”

Listen To Me tells the story of a young musicologist who suspects her next door neighbour is in a abusive relationship. The short film was nominated for the Best UK Short Film at the East End Film Festival in July 2015 and recently screened at the 25th Bath Film Festival where it opened for Hsio-Hsien Hou’s The Assassin, which Sight & Sound magazine named the best film of 2015. Listen To Me will be screening at the BAFTA recognised London Short Film Festival on Sunday 10th January as part of the New Shorts: Youths of Today programme.  Click here for details of how to get tickets to see this film, and others, during the festival.

Keep up to date with news on the project on the ‘Listen to Me’ Facebook page.
