Students have the chance to write, direct and edit to produce their work on the following courses: perfect for anyone wanting to jump right in!
Two-Day Intensive Practical Filmmaking (Weekend course): the perfect course for anyone wanting to get a first taste of filmmaking!
From Story to Screen in Eight Weeks: this full-time course covers the essential craft areas of screenwriting, use of camera and sound, casting and directing actors, editing and script development.
Four-Week Filmmaking: a full-time course which gets our students working with actors, interpreting scripts, devising narrative story lines and developing a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of film production.
Part-Time Filmmaking: designed for those who want to access intensive practical filmmaking training, but can only commit to a part-time schedule.

Learn the behind-the-scenes skills of interpreting script material, managing your crew and editing your project with an intensive course:
Screenwriting Fundamentals: A part-time evening course for budding screenwriters, students get an overview on how to begin their script ideas; form creating treatments, believable characters and even how to pitch their work to the industry.
Introduction to Editing: An intensive weekend course, ideal for those wanting a good overview of editing techniques.
Film Producing 101: For the budding producers of tomorrow, this is a great weekend course which covers the key skills, qualities and know-how that a producer needs to make it in the industry.
Introduction to Cinematography: A must for budding cinematographers, this intensive, full-time introduction course is a highly practical immersion in the world of lighting, camera and sound.
FOR THE ASPIRING ACTOR
Get prepared for roles within webseries, TV pilots and short films, as well as advice from casting directors, industry-professional acting tutors and directors in terms of your future on-screen:
Introduction to Acting for Film: Take the plunge with a fun, weekend intro course in acting for the screen!
Acting for Film Level 1: A short intensive course in what it takes to make it in the world of performance. Guided by an acting tutor and industry professional Director, students take part in numerous exercises and receive feedback in how to work on their craft. The ideal course for beginners!
Part-Time Acting for Film: Study acting for the screen around your day-to-day working life on this part-time evening course. Students will also learn what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera by directing and acting as crew (operating the camera and recording sound) on a number of short exercises.
FOR THE YOUNG FILMMAKERS’ (AGED 14-17):
Met Filmmakers’ Camp: A 2-week residential course, held at the historic Rugby School. Students have the time of their lives being completely immersed in the world of filmmaking, trying their hands at editing, screenwriting and directing for the screen.
Met Young Actors’ Camp: This residential course runs alongside the filmmaking camp. Taught by an industry professional acting tutor and director, students flex their creative muscles and take part in fun social events around the world of film.
Young Filmmakers’ Academy: Held at our campus at Ealing Studios, students gain the core skills needed to write, edit and direct their own scenes. Working with other like-minded students, they will present their final films in a celebratory screening at the end of the course.
Young Filmmakers’ Workshop: A fun, weekend course in shooting, writing and editing for the screen. Students work in groups, with the support of industry professional tutors along the way.
