Met Film School Graduate Stories

By Jonny Persey | Categorised in News, Student Stories, CEO Blog

A little student story that gives me a buzz to start off with:  BA Practical Filmmaking graduate Luke Davies, with the support of a crew made up almost entirely of Met Film School alumni, launched a music video this month.  Click here to watch Space Invaders and learn more about Luke’s project on the official website.

I’m proud of the initiative Luke has shown here – it is one of the core values we seek to instil in our students and a key driver to their success in the industry.  I’m sure it’s also a common trait amongst the many graduates who are carving out disparate careers across the screen space. One of the things that I enjoy most about my work is hearing their stories – our latest survey reveals that of the graduates we can track (that’s 83% of undergraduate and postgraduate students, over this year and last), 82% are working in the creative industries.  The places students are working in has evolved along with the industry, and the survey represents a fascinating insight into the opportunities that await you – there are entrepreneurial and freelance roles ranging from Hollywood and independent cinema to television and YouTube. You will see graduate stories going up on the website over the coming months– have a look at this short film that portraits a few of these stories:
