BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking Graduate Rina Yang celebrated this week when she won the Award for Best Cinematography at the 43rd ALCINE Film Festival for The Boy Who Never Went Ice Skating, a Film by Chiara Marañón.

With 1,500 submissions and 60 selected films, the competition was fierce.  The prize included 3,000€ towards the Postproduction costs for Rina’s future projects.
Rina recently graduated from our Two-Year degree in filmmaking.  She says of the experience:
“I fell into studying film, and started from knowing nothing about film-making. Those two years I spent at Met were some of the most memorable, and formative years of my life so far.  Since graduating, I have been working as a cinematographer, shooting music videos, commercials short films and cinematic documentaries.”
