Met Film School teams up with The Lyric Hammersmith to present the BFI Academy course!

Love film? Want a career in the film industry? Aged 14-18? Apply for theBFI Young Filmmakers’ Academy, an exciting filmmaking course running this November, delivered by Met Film School in partnership with the Lyric Hammersmith. Apply by 22nd October!

Run over 5 weekends in November and December 2013, Students will be provided with a minimum of 40 hours training in practical and intensive classes based at the Lyric Hammersmith at a cost of £25 (busaries are available- contact the Lyric for more details.)
Supported at every stage by industry professionals you will learn how to write scenes, use a camera to tell stories, edit your shots and direct actors. Students will go on to make their own short films to be screened at a special graduation event!
In addition to developing your practical skills in filmmaking, students will learn how to pitch ideas to industry professionals, as well as how to navigate the film festival scene effectively in tutorials given by Met FIlm School tutors.
Students on this course will have the opportunity to study for a Silver Arts Award.
Places on this course are limited and are by application only.   Students will be chosen on their passion for film, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
