Met Film Clearing Student Story: Lana McIver

By Cassio | Categorised in Alumni Interviews

“When I made the decision, it all came together really quickly through clearing.”

One of Met Film School’s BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking students, Lana McIver, shares her experience of Clearing in an article featured in The Telegraph, Clearing: Don’t be afraid to change your mind.

Lana originally applied for degree courses in English and Drama, receiving three offers, but she wanted a more practical course where she would be able to conceptualise and make her own films on an intensive and creative programme.  During the Clearing period Lana was able to fast-track her application for our BA (Hons) in Practical Filmmaking, rejecting her previous offers.
She doesn’t regret her decision: “You mustn’t be afraid to reject places you feel unsure about.  This is your future, you need to be excited about what you’re doing, otherwise you’ll be wasting your time.”
We have a limited number of Clearing spaces available on select courses starting 30 September 2013.
Find out how to prepare for clearing and the options available to you on our Clearing Page.
