For those wanting to forge a career in the filmmaking industry it can be difficult to navigate the world of film school and to decide whether it is the right option for you.

Filmmaking was the focus of the “Career Planning” section of The Independent this month, advising students on how to gain industry- specific work placements and get successful exposure for their work.

Anirudh Ganapathy studied on our BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking course and graduated this year. Anirudh’s film “Action”   was nominated for the International Short Film Festival of India and his first feature film – which he has written and will be directing – is currently in pre-production for release at the end this year.

In the below article he explains why he chose to study at Met Film School and what he managed to get out of the intensive and practical experience on our degree course.
