Krysten Resnick is one of our students who proves you don’t need to graduate to gain recognition as a filmmaker. Krysten is currently a second year BA Filmmaking student at Met Film School and she will be showing her debut short film: Jack and Benny’s Flying Machine at festivals across April 2013.

Krysten wrote, directed and produced the film in September 2012 as part of her course. Her short film is for children and is about a young boy who overcomes the loss of his brother by building the flying machine of their dreams.

The cast includes British comedian Kevin Eldon who has acted in a range of TV shows and is currently appearing in his own BBC sketch series: It’s Kevin. It also includes Thomas Harrison, who was featured in the Light the Night music video, which was the theme song for The Snowman and the Snowdog.

Benny and Jack’s Flying Machine make’s it world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF Kids) on 9th April 2013. It will also be shown at the Newport Beach International Film Festival on 27 May.
