Kirk Jones Visits MFS

By Cassio | Categorised in Events at Met Film School

Director Kirk Jones recently visited the Met Film School to run a fantastic masterclass for our students.

As the writer/ director of home-grown box office hit Waking Ned and the 2009 film Everybody’s Fine, and the director of Nanny McFee, Kirk offered our students some great insights and anecdotes about working in the industry.

Having moved up through the ranks from runner, to direct short films and TV commercials and then feature films, Kirk was able to offer sound advice on the patience and dedication required to carve out a successful film career.

Students also got the chance to see Everybody’s Fine, Kirk’s 2009 film starring Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale and we hope to welcome Kirk back to the Met Film School soon!
