Acting for Film Level 1 was my gateway into formal acting training.

What I really valued from the course was that, although the focus was acting, students were encouraged to take on different roles, such as boom operator, camera assistant, or continuity supervisor, which helped us to understand that it truly does take a village for a film to come to life.

I took my craft to another level at MetFilm School. I explored different departments, learned more about the structure of storytelling, and found myself taking an interest in directing, as well as finding my own voice.

It was one of the best experiences I’ve had the pleasure of being involved in, and I’ve made many friendships with classmates who I continue to collaborate with!

If I didn’t attend MetFilm School, I wouldn’t have had the level of confidence I had to even go ahead with my idea.

What really stuck with me from the course was the improv lessons – I want to keep doing more of that in the future. The lessons that we had on Acting Technique also stood out to me, as they helped me to identify what I was most comfortable with on set.
