Professional and Career Development Loan (PCDL)

What is a Career Development Loans (PCDL)?

A Professional and Career Development Loan (PCDL) exists to fund learning that will benefit your career prospects or skillset.

However, unlike a traditional student loan, you will have to begin paying back what you have borrowed one month after the course has finished. Until this point the government pays the interest on the loan. You may be able to borrow between £300 and £10,000.

Currently the two banks who offer the programme are Barclays & Co-op.

Which Met Film School courses are eligible?

All Masters, Six Month, Part-Time, Short and weekend courses at Met Film School in London will be eligible for a PCDL.

However not all our courses are registered currently, as we require a student to apply before the course can be registered.

So if you want to apply for a loan then please email info@metfilmschool.co.uk and we will be able to help with your application.

Are you eligible?

To qualify for a PCDL you must:

  • Be aged 18+
  • Have been living in the UK for at least three years before your course starts.
  • Plan to work in the UK, European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) after the course.

You can find out more about these loans here.
